Garden Design Molesey

This garden in Molesey needed a smart, practical redesign to make the most of the space. For the garden design the LA Surfacing team delivered a clean, modern layout with new surfaces throughout — giving the homeowner a low-maintenance, high-impact outdoor area that looks good all year round.

Premium Artificial Lawn

We installed 29 square metres of premium artificial grass using Vienna 40mm turf. It’s a high-quality Dutch-made surface designed to look and feel like the real thing, while being child and pet friendly, and simple to maintain. The area was dug out, framed with timber edging, and layered with a weed control membrane, compacted type 1 sub-base and a sharp sand screed — creating a long-lasting foundation before laying the grass.

Raised Patio Area

A new 12 square metre raised patio was constructed using a classic sand and cement bed with pointing to finish. It provides the perfect elevated space for a seating area, overlooking the new lawn and creating a defined outdoor room. As with all our work, the base was carefully prepared with proper drainage and durability in mind.

Paths and Stepping Stones

We completed the layout with an additional 55 square metres of paved pathways and stepping stones to link key areas together. These were also installed on a full base build-up with weed prevention, compacted sub-base and a solid laying bed. The paths add flow and structure to the garden while making access clean and easy in all weather.
